What to Wear to Your Family Photo Shoot
CHOOSE A PALLET NOT A COLOR
I know it seems cute to be matching, but your photos will flow better if you pick a color pallet rather than a single color
NOTICE THE STYLE OF YOUR HOME
Is your home full of earth tones and neutrals or does it have bursts of colors and patterns? It is a good idea to keep your outfits consistent with the style of your home as these photos will most likely be hanging on its walls.
Your family photo shoot probably isn't the best place to try out that hot new style. Wear what you feel confident and comfortable in because that will shine through in your photos. This is about capturing who your family truly is!
Don't be afraid to add some flare to your outfit! Try not to go too overboard cause it may distrct people from the point of the photo, which is how awesome and amazing you and your family look!
I cannot stress this one enough! Pick outfits out way ahead of time. Have your kids try them on to make sure they still fit them, make sure they are in one peice and clean! Same goes for you and your partner!
NO BIG LOGO'S OR CHARACTERS
Even if it's your all time favorite shirt or your kid really wants to wear their Iron Man tee (I don't blame them). It's best to steer clear of clothing items with large logo's or animations as again it distracts and is harder to draw attention to the family.
AVOID WEARING ALL BLACK OR ALL WHITE
Wearing all black or all white makes it so easy for pictures to be blown out! If you wear white or black make sure you spice it up with a funky scarf or a sport jacket over the top. You don't have to completely avoid the colors, just be aware how dominant they are!
This is all about capturing the beauty of you and your family together! This should be fun and carefree, so do your best to be excited and enjoy yourselves!
